I have been ruled 100% disabled by the VA and the state of Kentucky, can they do this?
I have been ruled 100% disabled since 2004 by the VA, and more recently by the state of Kentucky for mental impairment due to a mental inquest warrant. I have been denied social security disability 3 times now after initially being awarded it back in '04!!! Now this past spring they took away my driving rights and drivers license! I have not had an at fault accident since 1996, but have had some not at fault incidents. My car insurance rates climbed to a staggering $700 per month rate! THIS IS A DOWNRIGHT SCREW-OVER! I need an attorney, for I feel that my rights have been taken from me for no good REASON! It has just been cruelty!
Yes I have 15 years of full-time work history. A not-at-fault accident means that another driver caused the wreck, I have no idea why I have been denied SSD. I have no idea why they took away my drivers license only that the state ruled me 100% disabled, then where the hell is my social security? If retarded people, and people with epilepsy can drive around with a license then WTF?

Two issues I see - Not getting SSD and getting a rate hike on your auto insurance or losing it. (Although, I'm a bit confused. If you're being charge $700 a month, then obviously they aren't taking away your insurance, they're just overcharging you.)
SSD - hire a lawyer. They don't guarantee you'll get accepted next time, but they give you a much better shot, because they know how to go about pleasing your case and they're in it for the money, too. (They also seem to be the only people who seemed to care one way or another.) They don't get paid, unless they win and then they take the money from back pay, but they can't take all the back pay.
Shop around for car insurance. When we moved from South Jersey to Philly, we went from two vehicles to one and still ended up paying more than three times what we paid in Jersey. I thought we were stuck there, until a couple years later when I shopped around. In 1991, when we moved into this city, we spent $2200 for car insurance. Now we pay $600. Sometimes it isn't about being fined for being a bad driver - insurance companies just keep sneaking up their rates on us hoping we don't notice and don't do anything about it. Shop around and see if you can get better prices.
Oh, and I know your angry, but why are you taking it out on other people? What did disabled people ever do to you to turn your wrath on them? At least keep the blame where it belongs.

If you have severe mental impairment they can take away your license. In another question you stated you have schizophrenia. That can be a reason they took away your drivers licensee. it could also be that you didn't pay that outrageous insurance ht you complained about. Also, you said you had "some" not at fault accidents. Just how many accidents did you have? it can be obvious that you can not drive right now.
Your edit is a bit offensive. Retarded is offensive. Theyd do not allow people with epilepsy to drive. The only way is if they are seizure free for a lenth of time and that varies by state. There was a story n the news about a lady who went against Dr orders and drove. She had a black out from a seizure flipped her car into the next lane her car landed on top of a car and killed a whole family.
Now you ar eitr very ill inside your head that you cannot see what is going on or you are confused for other reasons. Maybe you have had too many accidents, no matter how you look at it. Refuse to get treatment, refuse medications, have had some improvment, or something else. Have you had a review? Maybe they see you are okay now, arejust okay, or maybe drugs?
Something is missing from the picture here.
You were in the army correct? VA disability sometimes works a bit different than other disability. IF the disbaility was not caused by the army than you cannot expevt THEM to pay for it now can you?
HOW did thy ake away your car? Did you not pay it? Did they just say "we are taking this from you? They have to tell you why.

Car insurance rates are not merely based on your "at fault" accidents. They include ALL accidents. Even if you never caused an accident, the insurance company would feel like you are the most unlucky guy in the world & your rates will go up based on how many accidents you have been in (at fault or not). They also base rates by your credit score & M.I.B. (medical records). Having a 100% mental disability increases the risks they have to insure you for.
Losing your driving privileges after a mental inquest warrant sounds like something that is done when one is declared incompetent to care for themselves. This would indicate that you have a guardian (family member or another court appointee). When that happens, the guardian or the court is in charge of your disability funds. You may still be getting them but they are not given to you. They are spent on your care as supervised by your guardian.
It's hard to say if all of this relates to you since you never mentioned the results of the Mental Inquest. What was the exact finding? If you are unclear & you also feel that your rights are being violated you do need to speak with an attorney.
You could start by phoning the number on the link provided and ask who can help you with this matter. It may not be their specific office so just ask them to refer you where you can get help.

If SS won't approve but VA & KY have... then it has to be something like history of drugs or alcohol
SS won't approve when those are part of medical file
given that you state your schizophrenia is due to an LSD trip in a previous question... then I am guessing this must be the case
for whatever it is worth, schizophrenia is not caused by an LSD trip
anyway, it could either be the mental health diagnosis or the drug/alcohol history that has caused you the loss of your license -- it could also be non-payment of your auto insurance premium and/or having too high total points on your license
If you are in many not-your-fault accidents... then you are an accident waiting to happen & also a person with many points on your license for being in those accidents ---or it could be that KY is a "no-fault" state...
My mom has never been in an auto accident... and she is 68.. she also has never gotten any type of traffic ticket... she drives the way she is supposed to... is cautious of the mistakes other drivers make that can affect her... and keeps herself out of harm's way by watching & looking before continuing
I appreciate that you served our country.... thank you for that
but there is more to this story than you are telling us.... you are looking for others to agree with your personal fight/cause when you are withholding relevant info
the word retarded is offensive to many people.... do you mean Intellectually Disabled?
People with many different health problems can drive.... in some cases they shouldn't... in the cases where they shouldn't, then it is just a matter of time before something happens or enough people report them & then they will have a loss of driving privileged
case-n-point... lady came on Y!A to complain about a police officer giving her a ticket for running a stop sign.... she wanted to use ADA accommodation to argue that her knee was a problem & because of it she could not move her leg fast enough to brake in time for stop sign..... It amazed me that she thought she was in-the-right & that it didn't even occur to her that if she could not stop for a stop sign, then she needed to voluntarily stop driving.... what if she had to brake when a child darted out in the street... what if she needed to brake & couldn't & then hit the car in front of her.... yet this never occurred to her ----- later she came on Y!A complaining because her attempt to fight her ticket (providing a doctor's letter that her knee was problematic.... the letter was worded as if a business had not given an employee reasonable accommodation) ended up with the judge revoking her license
this was a few years ago.... but I still remember it... because it was crazy to me that she could not understand why these things happened & all she could think about was her "need" to drive

Please remember that 'retarded' is an offensive word. The term used these days is intellectually disabled.if you have a severe enough mental illness and are 100% disabled, surely you should re-consider whether or not you should drive Sell the car, have the money in your bank for when you need it, as well as saving by no longer having to pay for fuel, registration etcetera.
