what is the best digital camera for a poor person to buy, around $50 ish?
I went to walmart and seen several and I do not like the $19.99 cameras as I feel you get what you pay for. I am not highly interested in pixel or megs per shot, just some thing I can use once a week or so for a few pictures. Yes I am going to transfer them to my lap top and e-mail them put to friends.
Thanks Del

Try some Pawn shops- ask about a week trial for a return.
Ones that use 4 AA cells are older. Get a 2 cell. Have to
have the transfer cable. The thinnest ones are the newest.
Make sure that it comes with a 2 gig SD card.
You just want a 'point and shoot' model.

Good decision to not go for the $19.99 cameras. They are without doubt junk. Maybe you can get a used camera for your budget, but you have to be very careful buying used.
Do you have a cell phone? Some of the more recent cell phones have cameras that do the job you're looking for. Maybe you can put your $50 toward upgrading your cell phone.

Outside of junk at pawn shops there isn't any. Bottom line on the junk is about $100. Quality does get better as the price goes up. You need more money.
