Lab puppy with swollen/puffy eyes? (Pictures included)?
So I have a yellow labrador puppy who is 16 weeks today. I went outside at approx. 11am this morning, (she's purely an outdoor doggy) and she looked perfectly fine, just like this: http://s678.photobucket.com/albums/vv150/claudzzzz... - This photo was taken yesterday, possibly the day before.
I went back inside and then went back out again at approx 2pm. She emerged from her kennel and the first thing I noticed was that she was having trouble opening her eyes completely. All around her eyes are fairly black too. it's hard to tell, but they kind of look a little swollen. Picture: http://s678.photobucket.com/albums/vv150/claudzzzz...
She is acting normal, full of energy and theres certainly nothing wrong her appetite, just her appearance. Im confident that her vision is fine, she's been following me everywhere as usual and jumps up to grab toys out of my hand.
Any ideas as to what could be wrong? This all happened in the space of a few hours, looking perfectly healthy to suddenly very sickly.
I doubt it's relevant, but she had her 3rd injection last Saturday, and also some spray for her nose to prevent certain and coughs. I had my back turned so im not entirely sure what it was.
Not to sound rude, but I asked for advice, not a lecture on my dogs lifestyle.
UPDATE; We went straight to the vet, it was an allergic reaction. She apparently thought it would be fun to harass a bee or wasp, and she got stung. It cleared up by at least 90% on the way there, but we got the shot for her anyway, of course.
@ Ali - Thanks! The vet recommended Clarytin for next time (and there definitely will be a next time) but i'll keep the Benedryl in mind too. :)

This is EXACTLY what my Pit Bull/ Lab mix looked like! She was acting fine, had her normal appetite, was playing with my other dogs. Everything was normal except for the swelling-ness.
We found out that she had allergies and we gave her some Benadryl. Her face cleared up and was back to normal within a couple of hours.
I would definitely suggest giving her the correct amount of benadryl that she needs. (You can Google how much to give her.) And if that doesn't work or if she starts looking worse and worse, then obv. take her to your vet.

This is why its never good to have an strictly outdoor dog,her eyes are swollen and it also looks like her muzzle is swollen as well, theres no way to say exactly what has happened as she could have been bitten by something or could be having a reaction to a plant she shouldn't have come in contact with etc.I strongly advise you take her into a vet as soon as possible as this could cause respiratory problems, bring her in and monitor her until she is seen by the vet and please consider making her an indoor dog, dogs are companion animals that want to be with there family not stuck outside all day.
