Books from female SF wrriters?

I'm looking something new to read, and I found that female science fiction writers often focus on biology and societies rather than hard SF.

So, do you know any good "soft" SF series of that kind?

Sherri Tepper writes a lot of feminist SF. Marion Zimmer Bradley wrote the Darkover series that had a lot of red heads with psi powers.

Oh man, there's tons. Women have a knack for sci-fi. Try:

    Ursula K. LeGuin

    Octavia Butler

    Madeleine L’Engle

    Kelly Link

    Connie Willis

    Marion Zimmer Bradley

    Suzanne Collins

    P.D. James

Do you read Lois McMaster Bujold? That's a lot of what she does. Most people already know Anne McCaffrey.
