What is real democracy and how do we get it?

    Well, depends on what you mean by "real democracy".

    If we had "direct democracy" we (the entire population) would be voting on every single bill proposed. We don't want that, I have a job and a life, I don't have time for that. Currently we have a representative form of democracy, where we elect officials to represent us and vote on laws for us. Much faster and better this way.
