How many in the USA have a Jewish background. Let's say at least one grandparent?
I have never seen an estimate about this. I do think it would be considerable. I think one Jewish grandparent.would give a certain indication. Probably not correct,but it is a start

Well first of all there are only about 13 million in the world and 5,275,000 in the USA so it would be around that number considering <1 change religion according to a survey done in 2008
