Is it worth wearing makeup to school (10th grade)? If it is, what/how?

Hi! :] I'm in tenth grade next year. I love makeup because it's fun, but I'm wondering if wearing a little every day to school is worth it. Maybe a little mascara? I wore makeup last year. It was a little different everyday; either mascara and eyeshadow or mascara and eyeliner.

And, I really love this look!

Could you wear that to school? How is it done? :D<3

Thanks, answerers ☃

Aha, I'm going into grade ten too. :) I don't wear makeup often, but I agree that it's fun. :3 I say that just mascara is fine; if you wear eye shadow or eye liner, try not to go too thick on it, because I've seen people my age last year who wore waayyyyy too much makeup and it looked grotesque. So maybe a thin line of eyeliner (like, don't do wings or anything, and I wouldn't reccomend liquid. pencil is easier) and some mascara. The best advice is just to not over-do it. Have fun!

Lipstick? Not a chance Blush? Sure. Although most 9 year olds that i've seen have a pretty natural blush. Eyeshadow? Is that even safe Mascara? Who is putting it on for her? Eyeliner? Again who is putting it on her? I find it hard to imagine a 9 year old knowing how to apply this stuff properly. But if her parents are ok with it then that's cool. I personally wouldn't let my daughter wear all that simply because a 9 year old doesn't need any of it. Now lip gloss and some other stuff sure maybe once in a while. But all that other stuff its not necessary and couldn't it possibly ruin her skin. So IDK. Some parent wouldn't let there nine year old dye her hair or get her ears pierced but I would. So its a personal decision to be made by her parents. And if they're ok with it then that's lovely.

Many girls dream of going to school looking hotter than ever. It is important that girls learn to wear makeup right. It should be appropriate for their age, for daytime and for a casual school setting. Use the tips below to apply makeup for school.

    1

Skip the foundation. Young girls have a natural healthy glow that is often covered up by heavy base. Use only spot concealer for pimples or under eye darkness, and let the rest of your natural skin shine through. If your skin is not evenly toned, use a tinted moisturizer. The fluorescent lights used in school make heavy foundation look terrible.

    2

Use lip gloss. Lipstick makes a person look much older, especially if it is a dark color. Try a tinted lip gloss, but use pink and peachy tones instead of red or wine colors. Use deeper tones only when dressing up.

    3

Concentrate on eyelashes. Use mascara and an eyelash curler to begin with; this creates the most natural looking makeup for a school setting. Choose a brown for light complexions, and a brown-black or black for darker complexions.

    4

Use a pencil liner for girls over 14. Liquid liner is the most dramatic and should be reserved for evening and dress up times. Choose natural colors for school like browns and blacks, and draw a line right along the upper lashes from the center of the eye to the outside of the eye. Smudge the line with your finger.

    5

Choose light colors. Light colors of blush and eye shadow look the most youthful and most appropriate for daytime. Dust a bit of pink toned color on your cheeks and eyelids up to the crease of the eye. You can even use a highlighter on the cheekbones and forehead and nose to brighten your face and add dimension.

Yeah! And don't listen to these people..you don't need makeup to look pretty, it just enhanced your natural features! I use foundation, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara..but I don't load it on like most girls do. Use natural colors..I love the naked 2 palette by urban decay. So yeah, go for it! It's fun and I think high school is a fun time to experiment with makeup. I've changed my look countless times in just my freshman year!

dont wear loads, save wearing alot and looking you best for going out, if you wear loads of make up at school then the same makeup when you go out your not going to look different, light make up at school then abit more when you go out so you look different...

Try foundation on your hand see what colour suits you.. if you already no then thats great.. put your foundation on not too much so it looks like you have put it on with a troul, then get some blusher (colour on that with your hair, if you blonde have pink, if your brunnette or dark have brownish) buy a nice brush that you can put it on easy with and rub it in round the edges (dont go over board you dont wana be called pink cheecks) :-) then put a little mascara on to cover up the foundation on your eye lashes and a LITTLE eyeliner, if your eyeliner is nicely sharpened it will go on a nice neat thin line, u need you limit your only at school if you do it right then it will look fine and be the right amount for school

If you're going to wear any makeup, keep is simple. Don't go overboard. That's my personal opinion.

Well i'm a dude so i'm no expert but, for some people make up is a confidence booster and there's nothing wrong with that. too much make up shows insecurity. the natural look isn't for everyone.
