What's Happening to Country Radio?

I can't help but think country radio is getting lost.

What gets air time are the same songs over and over till someone comes out with something new then they wear that out.

And some songs don't belong on country radio......Example carrie underwood " Good Girl"

Hunter Hayes especially..." wanted"

And I I seen the new Taylor Swift song " we are never getting back together". I can bet, because it's her, they will will cram that in our ears and say how great it is. I might like it if i was a 12 year old girl. All are not in the country genre but I believe country radio is payed to play this prep music.

Don't say " if you don't like don't listen" because that's not a good answer. I'm not playing it, country radio is.

Country............eric church, Gary Allan, Dwight Yoakam, Ashton Shepherd, Miranda Lambert...some examples

Update:

Rodney Atkins............Justin Moore

Well you have to realize that a lot of country singers are moving towards a country-pop kind of style, like Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift, The Band Perry. They have that country style voice, but the music is more a contemporary country style. Country has steel guitars, violins, and piano. But now not a lot of people don't even use those things. It's either country-rock, or country-pop. So it's no that they don't belong there, they do, you just don't like them, because you like REAL country, and there is nothing wrong with that.

I'm a huge Swifty and even I don't agree with the new song.

But the same applies in the UK too - not with Country, because we don't get any, but with other genres of music.

For example, a couple of years ago, all we used to hear was talentless guttertrash Rihanna EVERY 35 MINUTES. It literally drove me insane. Over the last 18 months, all we've heard is overrated, out-of-tune, can't-sing, crap Adele all the time. Sick of that wailing, out-of-tune voice every day. (Have you heard "Rolling In The Deep"? JESUS!! That was recorded in a multi-million pound studio to make her sound as good as possible, yet she is STILL out of tune on the chorus! And people buy that? And listen to it by choice? What's wrong with people?)

i'm positive there is were given to be a radio station obtainable that performs extra of the older music, yet no longer all. i imagine that maximum folk who're youthful contained in the country music biz likely had many older u . s . a . music impacts. The older stuff is solid, yet at the same time, there is large u . s . a . music being made today. enable's no longer discredit today's era of music, that is all large stuff.

  • I don't know,it is a disgrace though.

Play some Jamey Johnson,Justin Moore,Randy Houser,Brantley Gilbert etc not this pop BS.
