All star SP Lance Lynn has been banished to the bullpen. A first?
He has not been good lately and I realize Cueto would have been a better choice. Just curious if he is the first All Star SP to get switched to the bullpen in the same year. If not do you know who else this has happened to?

In 1990 the Reds had a pitcher named Jack Armstrong...nicknamed the "All-American Boy" Armstrong won 8 of his first 9 starts and was named the ASG starting pitcher. In just his third MLB season, the 25-year old was being touted as a future ace.
He fell apart in the second half, ending the year with a 12-9 record. Although he was not "banished" to the bullpen, he was being used as a reliever/spot starter by the end of the year.
His downfall was lost in the tremendous "wire-to-wire" Reds' run in 1990 that ended with a World Series victory over the Oakland A's. Armstrong made one appearance in the WS, as a reliever.

I myself have played baseball for about 12 years. I'm 15 years old and recently played baseball for my highschool team. I used to be scared of the ball out on the feild (bad hops, speed ect.) Up at the plate i'm only afraid of the faster pitchers, obviously cause they throw harder and they hurt worse. But honestly almost 1 out of 50 times up to bat you wont get hit by a pitch. The pitchers at highschool level know how to control there pitches and dont throw a lot of wild pitches. I got hit once this year and I played almost 70 games. But still have someone not throw but toss some sort of ball at you while in the batters stance at about 60 feet. You will then figure out when the ball will actully hit you and what angle it's coming in at. Hope I could help.
