Why is "Music" not under "Arts & Humanities" on Y!A?
This has been bugging me for a while. Why is the sub-category of music associated with entertainment, rather than arts?
Not everybody asks question about worthless pop "artists" (who are, indeed, more like entertainers) that no one will remember two years from now.
If poetry and visual arts are in said category, why isn't music, since it too is considered one of the greater fine arts? I find this to be an issue based on the ignorance of the people who designed the categories.

Music is not really a subcategory since the main listing is Entertainment & Music. So it really has its own category. You are correct popular music is not all there is, but on YA, that is 99% of the questions. Many have suggested separating entertainment and music. The other problem is that if the music categories were listed as sub- instead of sub- sub- categories, it would be visually crowded. Others have suggested having art and poetry as separate main categories.

I consider that there's a giant change. The trouble is that the majority "fluffies" name themselves "Eclectic," which confuses the problem. A fluffy is anybody who has no seize of historical past, and little or no expertise of the Craft, however refuses to gain knowledge of. They consider that Wicca is some thing they wish it to be, and that any person who tells them in any other case is illiberal, judgemental, or dogmatic. They are, at the one hand, very near-minded to precise books, authors, and traditions that they erroneously consider are "Dark," and alternatively, so open-minded that their brains have fallen out. For a few of them, Wicca is a political assertion. For a few it justifies their animosity towards Christianity, or towards Men, or towards their mothers and fathers, or towards the "Normals" more commonly. For a few it's myth achievement. It makes them believe like they've manipulate in an in any other case overwhelming global in which they beforehand felt utterly powerless. Some have misplaced contact, to a point, and consider that they are residing an episode of Charmed, or they can not inform the change among Wicca and a D&D sport -- the varieties of individuals who solid spells with a d20. Some fluffies are readily younger dabblers -- a few will develop out of it, and a few will develop into it. Others are readily posers who're making use of the Craft to seem cool. So the change among an Eclectic and a Fluffy is whether or not or now not you already know what you are doing, or care to. An Eclectic takes an experimental procedure to Magick, making use of what works from a kind of traditions. Eclecticism takes plenty of study, plenty of labor. Fluffies quite often name themselves "Eclectic" considering the fact that they consider it excuses them from doing the study. But, because the historical announcing is going, you have got to understand the principles earlier than you'll holiday them.
