how can i rebuild this electric motor?
i have a fan motor out of a dehumidifier. took out the bolts, obviously, how do i get the case apart? it has four rivets that look like they go all the way through, but that is illogical. would be a whole lot easier if i could upload photos to this. its about 3 inches across.

That kind of motor is not designed to be disassembled. You're wasting your time, just get a different motor.

Grind,file,or chisel the rivet heads off.Reassemble using small bolts with nuts.
