What freezes faster? Fresh or salt water?

    Fresh water. Salt acts as an inhibitor towards freezing. In fact, cities often use salt to melt icey roads.

    Fresh Water has a higher tempurature freezing point therefore it will freeze first. Salt water won't freeze at normal freezing tempurature (this is why salt melts ice and in the winter salt is spread on roads to prevent ice)

    the easy way or more intricate..... fresh water freezes first and fastest- have you ever fallen through a frozen lake- oh yeah. a frozen ocean...nope
