How much of an answer shows up in an answer-notice email?
s it just a link, or do you see some of the answer?
Well so far 4 answers and no emails.
and YES I do have alerts turned on.
So next question, how long does the notice usually take to arrive?
They have a new notice since last time I asked. NOTHING of the answers show. Just a big button to click and a suggestion to go ask another question. Oh well. Thanks everyone, I can see you're all big BIG askers, too ;) BA will be chosen by Magic 8 Ball.

Depends how long the answer is. If it is a long answer then just the first line, if it is a real short answer, then all of the answer will be shown.
Q2: Notices sometimes take several seconds to a minute to arrive in your email.

If I remember right, it's part of the first line. You'll see when you get this how much is in the answer. The rest of the response is just typing so you can see how much is left out.

Arrival is within a minute in most cases.
As to how much, here is a recent example.
THE MAIL
I've not xxxxxx it recently, but I xxxxx so. But xxxx do have xx xx identical...
THE ANSWER
I've not xxxxxx it recently, but I xxxxx so. But xxxx do have xx xx identical. And I'm not xxxx it is a "feature", xxx se.
