GE Gas Stove repair tip from Pro?

I have a GE gas stove, whose only oven part does nto work.

Top burner, broiler(Top burner inside oven part), and lowers shelf - drawer warmer(electric) heats up fine when I turn it on.

When I select BAKE set temp and select START, I hear relay clicks in, but none of the burner inside oven works

When I select BROILER and select START, relay clicks in and top burner inside oven works and drawer warmer works fine.

Checked oven only shut off valve and it is ON

Both top and bottom burner in over are supplied from same valve, so I had a doubt on the valve, but since top burner work while switching to BROILER mode, I don't think that may be an issue.

Update:

Snow Bunny

Thanks for post.

Since there are 2 burners inside the oven, one on top and one on bottom.

When I turn on Broil, it do turn on top burner.

When I turn on BAKE function with top burner (there is knob for top burner in the front center which we use is we want bottom and top burners to ignite), than top and bottom, both burner does not come up.

Do you still think it should be BAKE(Bottom) ignition burner only? Cos while using BAKE feature with top burner, none of the burner ignites, while using the BROIL feature, top burner ignites right away.

appreciate your reply.

It's most likely your ignitor, though GE ovens are famous for the bake burners going bad. The replacement bake burner would include the ignitor. If it was mine, I'd go ahead and get the burner kit. It isn't much more than just the ingitor.

I am sitting here proper now with easy off on my black range high. I spray it on there and depart it for roughly 30 to forty minutes then scrub it off with a wet wash fabric and a few dish cleaning soap. Eventually after it's all cleaned off, i put some windex on my range and wipe it off with a paper towel. Tada! It appears exceptional. The trick is to use windex or some other style window cleaner, now not simply some thing like multi surface cleaner. The windex makes it sleek shine.
