Why is the Baseball section so un-active?

Its still baseball season and near playoff time, why is this section so so... so less ppl?!?! Basketball is in the off-season and its still going. Whats wrong with this section?

Update:

BQ: Do you see the Dodgers getting the wild card?

Update 2:

@Fozzy you have a good point.. but its the off-season in the Basketball section. The first page in this section has questions from 8 hours ago, i wonder how its like in the off-season.. I thought Baseball was the 2nd most popular sport in the US.

The first suggestion I would have to you is to go back and actually LOOK at the basketball section. 75% of the questions are insulting other members, 20% are by some dude who has created multiple accounts to fight with himself, and 5% are actually basketball related.

The problem we've had with this section is similar - people coming in, trolling, playing multiple account games in some pathetic attempt to become a "top contributor" (an honor I have won and lost so many times that I am convinced not even Yahoo knows how it;s awarded) , asking idiotic questions about how great some borderline player (e.g. Nick Johnson) is and whether or not they can play in the majors based on their stats as a 14 year old. As a result, we've lost a good number of truly great contributors who are just tired of searching through the bull to find the questions that actually require a bit of thought to answer.

And no, I don't see the Dodgers winning the Wild Card.

I agree. There's two weeks left of the season and this section gets no love. The AL Eeat is turning into a fun pennant race, the AL Central is tight as well and hell the AL West is getting interesting. The NL divisions and first wild card are all but locked up, but you have four teams within striking distance of the final wild card spot. This is the best time of year for baseball.

    Screw basketball!
