Do you have to have the shower on to blow smoke into the fan and not have it smell?
So I'm talking about weed in case you didn't know that, but I smoke with the shower on and blow it into the fan and I wasn't sure if you actually need the steam from the shower or not to hide the smell. Okay thanks!

No, not going to work. If you smoke this stuff in the house others who live there will smell it. Besides, the exhaust fan will just blow it outside, where it will waft around the house and drift back in through the windows.
You best bet is to go down to the local police station and turn yourself in.

you are confused.
the shower doesn't keep the smell off, in fact it helps the smell stay on!
the particles of pot smoke will stick to the water molecules in the air, only a small portion of the molecules go up the vent, the rest sticks ot the walls, floor, ceiling and just about every surface in the room!
what the shower is supposed to do is: promote healthy airflow. you need an intake, such as the gap at the door to allow air in, and an exit- the vacuum generated by the fan.
the shower generates hot air that promotes the suction, to get more air flowing in. and more air rising up by itself thru the vent.
ideally you need a 80-200 CFM fan to make this work best, because you need negative pressure in the bathroom, or smoke will leave the room.
you need enough airflow that the water molecules do not stick to the walls, floors or veiling this cna be difficult ot achieve if you don't understand how this works or cannot visualize the water molecules absorb the smoke particles then hitting a surface and gets absorbed/smell released.

Having shower on is not going to help with your dilemma. I doubt if it will do the job you're looking for.
Go out side far enough away from the house so no one can smell it. You're looking for something that isn't going to help regarding your perplexing situation. Smoke stays on your clothing also. So go down to the creek nude and stand in the middle of the water until you finished smoking. Then wash up in the creek and put clean clothes on. This might do it.

I doubt the shower running has any affect in removing the smell. The exchange of air is what removes the smoke. Most bath fans are only moving 50 CFM. Be patient.

I don't know why kids are always asking how to hide the smell of weed. Just smoke it outside. At least you don't need to worry about smell lingering in enclosed spaces.
