what is your dream home?
Please explain what your dream home is, what you would like in it, what colour would you like the walls to be, what sort of furniture and from what shop, what your bedroom would be like, would you have people cleaning/cooking for you...
This does NOT mean it is going to happen, i just want to know!

Thanks for asking. i got two dream home ideas since a 34 foot r.v. is my current. my first dream home huge like 19 thousand square feet. a view of the mountains and or natures waterfall. i would have a green house for home grown vegies all year long. my kitchen would have concealed built ins appliances. a restaurant floor stand mixer a walk in pantry no wall hung cabinets burgendy stone counter with a stainless metal edge ebony base cabinets. there would also be a movie theather inspired video room complete with ticket booth and consession stand just for fun. also a dance style hall but it would be done in night club style like STUDIO 54 the owners bedroom would have a wall of glass that opens all the way up. i would also have a paneled wall but it wouldnt be panelling it would be the closet and dresser system there would be a door way in it leading to the owners bathroom it would be all glass wall and roof it would lend the illusion of going out side to do the bathroom gig the shower area huge that one could walk around in it say like ten feet by ten feet the tub would be in there along with many different shower styles such as the regular shower head another that pours water down like a waterfall with a seating boulder under the flow in addition to many a shower heads that would lend the illusion and sensation of being in a spring rain. my living room would have a center planting area like the huge shopping malls and a huge gas fire place also with in that wall would be a secret door way that would be done in such a manner that it would look like part of the fireplace wall. the foyer would be a total water feature itself there would be a huge pond that you would walk over on a thick like 6 inches of plexiglass which would once again lend the illusion of walking on ice. there would also be a stage with real stage lights and instraments and sound system that would be the satisfing factor for the performer in all of us. there would be the guest wing of 5 bedrooms 3 bathrooms and a huge circular stair case that would wrap around the entertainment room of the downstairs of the guest room wing there would be a round gas fire place pit also that would put you in mind of the days of building a campfire to roast marshmellows but it would be ouer the top of being way fancy. my other dream home would be to redo a public building such as a fire department or office building stuff and things like that and converting it into a home. i like to have gone mad with desire when i got to see the inside of an actual multi story warehouse with each floor converted into a home. once again thank you for asking.

A beautiful setting with views of water and mountains and trees, lots of windows, lots of natural wood and colorful comfortable furniture, fine art on the walls, plenty of bookcases full of my favorite books, a big kitchen with lots of counter space but otherwise, modestly sized rooms (I hate giant houses with massive rooms, they don't feel homey and cozy). My bedroom would have big windows, maybe a skylight so I could see the stars at night, room for my canopy bed, wooden floors with a thick soft carpet, a nice sized closet and a sitting area with a big chair and footstool for reading. A huge wraparound deep covered front porch so I can sit outside and watch thunderstorms without getting wet -- should have a big porch swing and a hammock out there. Also a big garden for flowers and vegetables. A big mudroom at the entrance with the laundry area there and lots of cupboards for storing all my camping, kayaking and skiing gear. An attached 3 car heated garage (one section would be for storing kayaks and canoes and bikes) with a studio above it with a workshop in it for building things. Complete solar and wind power systems and natural spring water so I would not have to pay for utilities ever.
And, most of all, that it is paid for and I can retire from my job and enjoy living there instead of having to work to pay a mortgage.

My dream house is painted entirely grey, with all grey furniture, Not a drop of color! Color is so dated and ugly!
And I want stainless steel appliances and granite counters! just like everyone else! I HATE when people decorate their houses to their own taste! Think of the resale value!
