A flight wheel 1.5 ft in diameter has an angular velocity of 8 rad / sec. Find the linear velocity of a point on the radian.

    The angular velocity and instantaneous (linear) velocity are related as

    v = w*r

    where v is the instantaneous velocity, w is the angular velocity, and r is the distance of the point from the axis of rotation.
