Seems logical to me that if cameron wont fire the guy over the pleb gate incident then he must think that the Police officers are lying. I know who id rather believe and its not mitchell.

It beggars belief that an intemperate remark to a policeman (which we all may have made in frustration) has been magnified out of proportion like this. The 'report' by the officer concerned ran to over 400 pages! For God's sake!!! Mr Mitchell was intemperate and has apologised - it is not a resigning matter. The left-wing police federation are using it to deflect attention from the Hillsborough scandal, which is far worse and has massive implications.

Lying is by definition, knowingly stating something you know to be false.

It is possible both are telling the truth, I for one can very rarely remember exactly every word I have uttered in a conversation, but remember the general tone much longer. It is possible Mitchell used the word pleb and has forgotten. He in this circumstance is not lying as he isn't stating something he knows to be false.

Frankly, who cares? All that happened was that Mitchell mouthed off to the police officer, all that was needed was for him to go and apologise to the officer concerned. Done and dusted.

Blown out of all proportion by all concerned, especially the media.

Mitchell is the liar, but I am more concerned about the £16 million of our money that he handed over to an African dictator as foreign aid. Now he does need the sack for that!!!.

All he did in a moment of anger was voice the opinoin that all Government Ministers have of the ordinary people they are supposed to represent.
