Do you have to study vocabulary to prepare for the PSAT?
Hello! :] I'm a tenth grade student who will be taking the PSAT verrrrryyy soon. I don't know yet if I will study in the US, since I go to a foreign school, and I haven't studied any vocabulary. My vocabulary is okay, I guess, but not the best. Classmates of mine who are also taking the test already have a great vocabulary, but are studying lists of about 1500 new words. They also make fun of me for not knowing any of them.
Is it necessary to study vocab for the PSAT?
Is the math hard? I've barely learned the American terminology..
Thank you so so much!

The math is the same in every country, but for English learn 300-500 new words. If you don't have much time, learn what common latin roots mean. (for example, introspect. Intro=within, spect=to look. intro+spect=to look within.) Good luck, this year the PSAT is only a practice. 11th grade is when it counts.

I'm a Junior in high school and I took the PSAT a couple months ago and some of the words are pretty simple but other ones are hard. My suggestion is to do process of elimination and when it comes down to two words just pick whichever one is sounds better. Also if you look up on Amazon or eBay there is SAT prep Vocab flashcards you can guy I have the set of 500 but most of them are really simple words. Good luck!
