Of those of you getting "Microsoft " phone calls....?

We got a real spate of them, sometimes two a night between 5 and 7 pm. Now that you mention it, we haven't had any for a few weeks. I was having fun with them using various accents and stringing them along. Several of the men said they'd like to f*** me (it's very frustrating for them, getting all those umpires whistles!), and one lady told me "Madam, I think you're playing the fool with me". She thinks I'M playing the fool with HER?!

The scary thing is that they had my name, address and phone number - now how could that be? I blame Telstra, which is the only organisation I can think of that has that set of details AND uses Indian call centres (everything is for sale at a price in India).

Edit @ Liam, they don't use random numbers, they know your name (and always use it when you first answer the phone), address and phone number - several have told me that.

All our Indian Call Centre Calls have ended the past month. Used to always be at Dinner.

We have Telstra Ban but they used to still arrive, Telstra said they can't do anything because the Indians are using Skype. Can only be stopped if The Federal Government Legislates to have them stopped.

I have had only two of these calls in a year. I just tell them the truth - I have a Mac. I never hear from them for ages after that. I am also on the Do Not Call list. It didn't stop them calling. The list does work for domestic telemarketers though.

When I do I just hang up on them.

They may have eased off, but I DO have an unlisted number and am on the Do Not Call list and they still call, they use a random number generator, and I just tell them to F*** off, and that I am reporting them to ACCC.

The US authorities (with help from other countries) caught the ringleaders just a few weeks ago - it was on all the news broadcasts.

yes the arseholes have stopped calling me since the program. i was getting used to my weekly task of swearing at them and telling them they should be locked up lol

Yeah , now you mention it they have been noticeable by their absence for a while ...these weazles may target different states on rotation .

We had one just last week. We have a call screener always comes up "overseas".
