What should one pack for a Caribbean cruise mid-December?

We'll be at sea for a couple of days with stop-overs in Nassau and Key West. Should we pack summer clothing? From your experience, is it warm enough to swim on the boat? Will we need sweaters or even jackets?

I don't want to bring a bunch of stuff -- just the right stuff! I really appreciate your suggestions.

Definitely warm weather clothes! I've swum in the Caribbean in mid February!

I'd take a light jacket - it can get cool and breezy in the evenings onboard, and the day our ship came back to Ft Lauderdale it was actually quite chilly.

Pack summer clothes for sure. I also would recommend that you pack a couple cardigans and maybe a silk scarf. You'll find it chilly in some public areas of the ships because of the AC. Also, it gets a bit cold when you're walking out on deck at night while out at sea.
