Is the pool on a cruise ship heated?

First time cruise - Carnival Triumph, leaving from Galveston in November, going to Cozumel.

Will the pool on the ship be warm enough to swim? Is it a salt water pool? Is it heated?

Any advice or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I have been on a LOT of cruise ships and never found any heated pool. Whether the pool will be warm enough to swim depends on when the pool is drained and refilled, and on what you personally consider "warm enough". Hot tubs are heated, of course. Sorry, I don't know whether you will enjoy salt or sweet water.

No, the pools are never heated. At least any of the cruise ships that I've ever sailed on. The water is usually ice cold. I couldn't tell you if they have salt water because I refuse to swim in them being as cold as they are.

Some carnival ships have a two hot tubs and two swimming pools(usually saltwater) and a water slide.

If you can brave the pool, go ahead and swim but otherwise stick to the hot tub. Bring your swimsuit in case but also if you have a swimsuit coverup wear that too.

no they are not heated. you will have to ask on cruise critic, on the Carnival board, whether they are salt or fresh water.

some cruise ships have enclosed pools, although many of them are in the adult only areas.
