"planet x nibiru" that is a very new one on me. there is not some thing to those stupid December 21st issues. it began because the Mayan calendar ends on December 21st, 2012, and someone suggested "Huh, i ask your self what the Mayans knew that we do not." Panic ensued. listed lower than are 3 important data about the Mayan calendar. a million - It ends on December 21, 2012. Our calendar ends on December thirty first, each and every 365 days. the end of the calendar doesn't advise the end of the international. 2 - The Mayans were killed by technique of diseases for which they'd no immunity that were delivered by technique of Spanish explorers. you would imagine that in the journey that they knew the end of the international replaced into coming, that they'd also be waiting to work out their very own lack of life and do some thing about it. 3 - The Mayans did not have leap 365 days. We do. which ability each and every 4 years we've an further day that the Mayan's did not. leap 365 days began in 1752, or 260 years in the past. provided that we upload an afternoon each and every 4 years, that is 260 divided by technique of four, which resources us sixty 5 extra days in our calendar that the Mayans did not have. accordingly, the Mayan calendar doesn't fairly end on December 21st. It ends on December 21st, minus sixty 5 days, or October seventeenth. accordingly, the Mayan calendar fairly ended on October seventeenth, and if the international replaced into meant to end then, some thing went badly incorrect. Get some sleep. end worrying.

Go out and look for the planets. If they are going to line up on 21 December then they must be getting close to it by now. Or are they suddenly going to whizz into line at midnight on 20 December?

What's the end of the world on 21 December 2012 going to be this time?

The solar system passing through a "photon belt" near Alcyone? Good story, but photons do not form belts, Alcyone is moving away from us and it was all supposed to happen about 1958.

The return of Jesus, yet again? How many dates have been predicted for that?

Planet X which was supposed to be here in May 2003 having another go at us? Why can't we see planet X if it's 31 days away? Why could we not see it in 2003 when it was first supposed to be here?

Invasion of the annunaki from Nibiru looking for gold? Why can't we see Nibiru if it's 31 days away?

The rapture, yet again? How many dates have been predicted for that?

All the planets in the solar system lining up, even though they cannot and will not, and doing . . . something somehow? Must be magic because it sure will not be gravity. Wasn't that supposed to happen in 1999?

Solar flares, which happen around five times a week on a long term average.

Coronal mass ejections on the Sun which are fairly common - like the one on 14 July 2012. Notice anything, did you?

A line up of the Sun and the Earth or something with the centre of the galaxy, which comes vaguely close twice every year is supposed to do . . . something? Must be magic because it sure will not be gravity.

The solar system crossing the central plane of the galaxy, when we don't actually know where that is?

Aliens invade (no, not the annunaki)?

Prophecies that the Maya didn't make will be fulfilled?

Prophecies that the old French faker Nostradamus didn't make will be fulfilled?

The people behind this are scammers after your money for a worthless book, you as an audience of a radio or TV show or your clicks on a web site which mainly advertises other frauds, fake science, fake religion and fake medicine.

Seriously? After last year's Doom-a-thon you can still believe this hoax is real? We had Judgment Day, the Rapture, Supermoon, Comet ELEnin, 11-11-11, Oct 21st (for some damn reason) and a bunch of falling death satellites. Every one of them was complete BS. I was actually cheering for the Rapture. Imagine if all the religious zealots in the world disappeared on the same day. It would be Heaven on Earth. Except then, if this was Heaven, they'd all come back here? Forget about it.

Morons, druggies and con-men thought up the 2012 nonsense, with a smattering of the mentally deranged thrown in for seasoning. I don't know about you, but I tend not to listen to anyone in any of those groups. That crazy man with the sign down by the freeway doesn't know something you don't, except maybe how to heat a can of beans in his pants while he is sleeping so he can have a warm breakfast.

It's the winter solstice on December 21st, the day winter starts and the shortest daylight hours of the year. The Sun will be almost perfectly aligned with the plane of the the Milky Way galaxy. No big planetary alignments, no wooboo goojoo, no doomsaying, just a lineup.

    http://www.exploringlifesmysteries.com/2012-planet...

Every year on the winter solstice, our Sun has a Declination of -23.5 degrees, and a Right Ascension of 18 hours. But what makes the alignment of 2012 special is how this alignment occurs relative to very distant stars. On December 21, 2012, the alignment will be right along the plane of the entire galaxy. This precession of the equinoxes goes in a complete circle and happens only once every 26,000 years. In other words, the winter solstice moves 360 degrees every 26,000 years, or 0.01 degrees each year.

A significant detail that promoters of the 2012 doomsday fail to point out, however, is that the plane of the galaxy is not the width of a needle. The plane of the galaxy is quite wide - in fact, it takes the winter solstice between 700 hundred and 1,400 years to cross the plane of the galaxy! So 2012 is just one year amidst a span of 700 years.

I predict it will snow (here in Canada at least), people will prepare for Christmas (usually in a fervid rush by that point) and again the doomsayers will push the end of the world prediction to another date. Honestly, between religious fundamentalists (of so many faiths and cultures) and basic human fear of death / the unknown, the end times has been predicted and feared countless times. Don't fall prey to the fearmongering.

Also read this, I'd sooner trust a space agency filled with a variety of scientists and mathamaticians over a bunch of people who are scared. I'm not saying faith and religion don't have their place, and there will always be things we never fully understand or can explain rationally. But I'd take logic on this one in my opinion.

    Flares.

There is nothing out of the ordinary predicted for that day. It's a date that was originally plucked out of the air (well, maybe they used it because they thought the solstice would add to the mystery) and used for selling books to gullible people. Since then, the ability of the internet to spread fear faster than facts has made it impossible to get through the noise.

    Nothing.

There is no "lining up" of planets.

Solar flares cannot be predicted in anything other than a very general way.

    Read this: www.2012hoax.org

    EDIT

    >>the planets will line up that day<<

    That is completely untrue.

December 21 will be like any other day. Nothing important will happen.

That is the most realistic prediction for Dec 21.
