Why Even Answer A Question?

I agree with most of your statement. However, a lot of people don't like (cut and paste answers), such as the one that you posted. It had lots of detail and information, but it didn't come from the heart. The answer that received the BA was simple and somewhat boring, but apperantly that is what the asker was looking for........Sometimes it just doesn't pay to waste your time with those kind of questions.

well, there are some askers who want to know whether they are right or not, and choose an answer best if it agrees with them...as in your case. it happened with me many times too. but i still answer questions because there are some people who really need help and appreciate your help.

Besides, it won't hurt if you help a troubled person

I enjoy answering some of the questions. And I couldn't care less if I'm chosen as Best Answer. Who cares.

I agree with everything you said. It makes perfect sense and cannot be faulted.
