The usual welding machine doesn't work on aluminum because its melting point is a lot higher. A welding machine that will weld aluminum is very expensive.

A cheaper solution is to use a lower-temperature material that sticks to aluminum that can be melted with a lower-temperature heat source. One such material is called Techno-Weld.

  • TIG welding............... 500 isn't anywhere close to a reasonable budget. TIG welders that actually have good capability with Al will run anywhere from $2000-$5000. You can buy low cost TIG units for around $700 but they simply won't do aluminum.

Further if you know anything about welding, you should know that aluminum is very difficult even with the most expensive, top-of-the-line equipment. It's pretty much a job for professional welders who have years of experience.

Aluminum isn't hard to drill if you use slow speed and firm pressure. I reccommend using bolts instead of welding. You'll save the trouble of buying a welding machine you simply lack the ability to use.

Actually aluminum's melting point is lower than steel and is much harder to weld.

DC is normally used to weld aluminum. Most home use portable welding machines are AC and do not have a very good current control; therefore are not that suitable for welding aluminum.

Welders learn to weld steel before aluminum. They normally have to take special courses for aluminum welding.

maximum residences have 220 volt merchants for the two the oven(if it electric powered) and the garments dryer. you will desire to purchase a 220 volt extension twine at maximum hardware shops. do no longer waste your cash on a one hundred ten volt welder. those issues are a comedian tale.
