Restoration of a station wagon?

I have a 1976 Oldsmobile Cutlass station wagon with only 113,000 miles on it. I am the original owner, the car has always been well maintained, always garaged, good condition, and runs well. I have the impression that most people restoring old vehicles want sexy cars like convertibles, muscle cars, or sports cars. But at the same time, stations wagons with such low mileage and good conditions are almost impossible to find because they tend to be run into the ground long before they reach this age.

I am looking for opinions: Do you think there is any hope of selling this car to someone who wants to restore it? What may be a reasonable price for the car.

The 50's and 60's wagons are getting popular as resto-mod cars. One reason is all the 2 door and convertibles are just too expensive for an average person to own now. They seem to be more desirable than many of the 4 door cars. For the most part I have not seen a lot of interest in the 70's stuff yet. If the car is not rusted its possible you could find someone that would really appreciate it. If its got rust most likely your only shot at selling it would be to someone that wants the engine especially if its a 455.

    Depends on the current condition.

If it isn't rusty & it's generally in good condition, it may be worth money to somebody.

If it's rusty, beat up, etc. take whatever you can get for it.
