How are people in their mid-fifties supposed to find work these days?

It's really horrible for me to say "sorry that you need to have an education now to have work"

but it's true,

there are plenty of jobs out there for people with qualifications, and as a society we place ABSOLUTELY NO IMPORTANCE on our education
