What would it benefit someone, if they were to gain the whole world ?

Would benifit them nothing.

They would eventually die sooner or later as humans are mortal beings. They would lose the material things they gained and wind up going to heaven or hell. Life is temporary, things are lost in death.

I don't know if I beleive in God, but I beleive in having a soul. It would only benefit if you would want to kill your emotions in the process, I beleive that the soul is what keeps your morals in check.
