my girlfriend is acting weird please help?
so she told me she was talking to one of her exes from waaay back in the day. im 19 and shes 18 and i think she dated him in 7th grade or something. anyway im okay with it because it was that long ago but lately shes been hanging out with her friends a whole lot more than shes been hanging out with me. today i went through her phone (which i never do) and shes texting her best friend about what to do about her ex. i read further and she says shes starting to like him but he moves away in 2 weeks. i dont want to confront her like a psycho boyfriend and tell her i was going through her phone. what would you do in this situation? if i overreact i push her closer to him but if i dont act right now i could lose her to him.
right now im on the verge of snapping and losing it because shes about to throw everything we have away for some kid. i want to spend the rest of my life with her which is the only reason why i have to be careful. i dont know how long i can keep this inside of me

I see why you're worried, but I think you can calm down.
1) I think your girlfriend is just kind of remembering what they had back in seventh grade. Maybe he's become a pretty cool guy all these years later, but if they've only been texting, odds are they won't click in person. There's a reason as to why it didn't work out the first time, after all. I think that remembering what they used to have is just confusing her.
2) You're obviously the more practical choice, since this other guy is moving away. I guess if it really bothers you, you can just kind of remind her that that guy is part of her past and she shouldn't revert to a relationship that didn't work out the first time.
3) She's still with you. You just have to remind her of why.
