in the 4 P's in marketing, if it's for a bank, what does the place section tell about?
ok so the 4 p's in marketing would be product, place, price and promotion.the 4 p's are most likely to be for pure goods and services. i'm talking about the place section. if it was for a bank, what does place matter? i mean like for example. if it's for supermarket, place matters cause we want to find customers and bringing in the products and find other places for the target market but if it's for bank them what is it about?

Place can mean physical location - so a bank is going to be located where there is sufficient business to justify the location. But is also refers to all the touch points - banking is now done online - so a bank has to have a credible way to interact with both customers and would be customers on its website and offer similar levels of service. Now increasingly with mobile devices/apps this is happening outside of physical locations and outside of normal banking hours so the "place" is changing for banks to serve their customers.
