Can I bring my cigars to USA?

I am going to USA from Norway. (State NY, to be exact). I bought some cigars in Norway, for a Christmas present. I only found out that Cuban cigars are illegal in US after I bought them. But I know some cigars are llegal. So my question is, are my cigars llegal, and will there be problems taking them to US, or should I just forget about them at home. I don't want to have any problems with those.

The cigars I bought are: Montecristo 3 Petit Edmundo Tubos

Leave them at home. If US customs discovers that you have any Cuban-made products on you, including cigars, they'll be confiscated when you enter the US.

EDIT: Don't listen to George. He's probably thinking of the Montecristos that are made in the Dominican Republic, specifically for the US market. In the rest of the world, Montecristos come from Cuba, and that's certainly what you've purchased in Norway.

You should have no problems bringing Montecristo's into the US as long as you declare them at US Customs.

Montecristo's are legal in the US and are sold here.

You can still get an exemption on cigar imports at BillClinton.com.

If they are Cuban, they are not allowed in.
