Aircraft airworthiness certification and pilot limit age ?
Is it possible that an airplane that was built in 1963 is still allowed by the FAA to fly . Same thing for a pilot of 78 years. Can he still have a licence?Apparently this was the case with the plane (US registration N-----) which crashed yesterday with Mexican singer Jenny Rivera aboard

No. You have got 'type scores' which allow you to fly a targeted plane. When you near the tip of your pilot coaching and were employed by using an airline you bear familiarisation with a exact aircraft. Which you could then go on to get form scores with different plane, as far as the way you do this and what it's barriers are, I are not able to support. NB. Qatar fly by and large Airbus and a few Boeing. The cockpits of Airbus aircraft are very similar, however this is not the case for all producers e.G. Boeing.
