The keyboard is electronic device (input device) for a computer or laptop or even a tablet.

typewriter on the other hand is a device on its own like a computer. It however is mechanical (mostly) and needs paper feed to get output. it is in essence input & output device while keyboard is just for input.

Piano will definately cost extra but if you can take piano classes then do it. I play keyboard by way of ear and really desire that I had been forced into taking piano classes i have an traditional sized keyboard and i will play along with various my cds. I'm not reallly good enough for a band however i fairly experience it. My recommendation take piano purchase a keyboard. I dont comprehend which lesson will rate extra. I taught myself on one of those pocket keyboards. Ya be aware of tink tink unless i would play every Christmas track I knew with out looking. This impressed my female friend so she boought me a small keyboard. Soon I was playing beatles, elton John tunes, some crimson floyd (itaught myself without problems numb and i will do the guitar solo ya recognize to not shabby) good anyway I kept progressing unless she received me my ultimate keyboard and i've been jammin ever considering. But, and i'm sure many keyboard avid gamers will let you know. You simply cant move up the opportunity to sit down down at any piano you come upon and that's whilst you discover what the change is. Thats also why I strongly motivate piano lessons first. Hope this has helped and follow each risk you get.L

Typewriter was the first mechanical keyboard in terms of writing on paper. But it was this keyboard in history that brought us today's keyboards for computers. As for today's keyboards, you need a PC/MAC/Linux box to use it since it runs on a USB or PS2 connection to the computer and uses electronic signals to give to the computer, when a user presses a key.

On a typewriter, it's everything they said below/above me but ALSO, the keys are super hard to press.

One is electronic, the other is mechanical and uses paper.
