Why does our (US) Laws still discriminate on basis of gender?

I'd say that equality can only be established when men and women are treated as ABSOLUTE equals in all counts.

So that means, equal sentencing for violent crimes (women get lower sentences by default and even shorter sentences if they have kids, men do not.), equal levels of paternity and maternity leave for having kids, so that women arent struggling to find jobs over men due to career breaks being longer for kids, womens bodies be treated the same as mens with regards to exposure.

The law reflects societal norms/preferences. Tolerance of various circumstances depends on the tolerance level expressed by the public. Laws come from government officials elected by the people as representatives of their will. Laws can, in the same way, be changed to reflect new societal preferences. However, laws often are slow to change and lag behind current societal preferences. Ways around this lag include selective enforcement and judicial correction. Society has adopted different standards of acceptable behavior for men and women. While you may find topless women walking the street to not be offensive, the broader public does. As a result, the law stands. The core truth here is that society discriminates on the basis of gender and the laws simply reflect that proclivity. Therefore, you must ask why society holds these beliefs and what society would tolerate as far as fat man breasts. I think you will find the answer lies in a combination of holding women as chaste and sexualizing every aspect of their bodies. When society holds these views it follows that it will not tolerate a woman exposing her sexual parts to the rest of the world. That is simple indecent to a society with our inclinations. A fat mans breasts are not predominately sexualized and would likely not provoke any response other than disgust which we have decided is tolerable as opposed to indecency,

The U.S. Constitution has been interpreted by the Supreme Court in a way that recognizes that there are natural differences between men and women. In other words, laws that discriminate between men and women are perfectly legal in some instances, including state indecent exposure laws.

Where? There are no 'US" laws on indecent exposure. they vary by state. Some state laws do discriminate, while others provide for the same rules for men as for women.

A challenge to discriminatory laws would probably be successful.

I'm not aware of any US law, that would fall under state law.

In my state, they define indecent exposure as showing anything that is normally covered by a bathing suit or undergarments. Because guys don't wear tops or bras, they can legally be shirtless.

Because our nudity laws are based on social mores, not on black-and-white technicalities. So, while it seems that a really fat man who is topless is showing the same shaped object as a normal woman, it's simply not the same thing because the offense is not the same based on our societal expectations.
