Emergency contacts on car?
Why do they have to do that when you buy a car? If they don't make a payment does the person they listed have to pay for a payment they didn't?

It is strictly for being able to find you, in case you are no where to be found, or have not made any payments.
You contacts are in no legal way responsible for your dept.

Nooo they do it so that some guy with slicked back hair shows up and offers all your "emergency contacts" 300 bucks to turn your deadbeat a ss in so that they can pinch the car while your asleep.

If you miss a payment and the lender can't reach you, they will call the emergency contacts to try and track you down.

No - unless they sign on the loan, they are just looking for people who might know your whereabouts should you wander off and forget to pay your payment.
