halo 4 multi kill medals?

in halo 4, if you want to get a multi kill medal, do you have to kill the required amount of players in 4.5 seconds or do you have to keep killing players with max 4.5 seconds between each kill

    Between each kill I am pretty sure.

    each multi kill no matter what it is gets u a medal
