No idea what a "vet med" is, never heard of such a thing. If you're asking what's the difference between a veterinarian and a vet tech, then it's MD versus RN. Salaries for both vary widely, as in most professions. Depends on who you work for and any specialties you have.

You will have to be speaking to the veterinarian and now not the vet tech. In case you are truly worried, speak to the veterinarian and the vet can address your concerns - the stats. It could cause renal failure but probably it's most effective happened in a small quantity of cats - so in observe - enormously not going that your cat will likely be affected or renal failure would be triggered from other issues as good. Considering that your cat is an elder, renal failure is already a possibility at some factor or anything else. To me, she is still younger but I just misplaced a kitty that was 10 1/2 years ancient - melanoma. A friend of mine misplaced his cat because of renal failure at 10 years historical. It was shocking. A number of months prior, he obtained a smooth bill of health - had his enamel cleaned. Regrettably, you must go through your vet. You could investigate with a neighborhood pharmacist but the ones I've labored with didn't comprehend too much about veterinary drugs although they should. It appears to me that every one medicinal drugs have their dangers, peculiarly in cats which might be small. They need a very small dose, traditionally. My mom is a vet tech. She's on vacation now or i would ask her. Are you able to name a vet just outside your subject and notice what they can let you know? That's what I advocate.
