should i write a letter of complaint to Round Table?

I went to Round table today for my lunch break. I noticed they had the buffet special going on, drink, salad and pizza for $6.99. A new young kid rung me up and I let him know it was to-go. I grab my salad container and head back to fix my salad. I heard the old manager complain to him and then he came around and said, "sorry, my mistake, the buffet is only to eat here and you can't take it with you." I said i couldn't eat here since i have to be back at work in 15 minutes.

So I had to go back to the cash register, have the old stiff manager refund my money then ring me up for a "to-go" salad, which costs $5.99. I was very friendly and understanding. Other round-tables have let me take some of the buffet to-go. I don't get the logic? I take less by making it "to-go". Also, I get the kid was a new and made a mistake, but seriously....couldn't the manager just have kindly explained his mistake to help and yell over at me, "this time it's ok, but for future reference, the buffet is just for here". I just felt it was bad customer service to then tell me sorry and make me refund my money and then buy just the salad labeled "to-go".

    Dear Sally,

I love writing letters of complaint when justified, and companies usually like receiving the feedback.

The logic is that the buffet is usually not "to-go" because some would take advantage and bring a large plastic pickle bucket and load it up.

You are correct that the manager should have let it go this once, but yelling across the dining room would have been a HUGE breach of etiquette.

I don't think you should write a letter of complaint to Round Table. It is poor etiquette to yell across a room full of people and had the manager done so he would have been disturbing other customers. Yelling could have possibly caused embarrassment for you too. You saved a dollar in the end so I think things worked out o.k. Now you know for next time. Let this go, I'm sure you have more pressing matters to tend to.

I would writre a letter so next time you might get the service you deserve.

I used to have so much fun stealing the breadsticks there. Stealing is fun.

Your physique, mainly. Punching your self within the belly for having your cells die could be a good inspiration, since at this very moment a few hundred usually died correct within the intestine you just punched your self in. Mainly much more seeing that you punched it, simply.
