how to kindly reject someone ?
I met this guy through a friend at work. Hes Indian, like me. After we met he added me on fb, messaged me and got my number. I was thinking this is just a friends thing...but he seems to flirt deeper and deeper and we wanted to have lunch at work but never had time.
So last night he kept saying he wants to take me out on a date. He kept saying date, using winks and calling me boo thang. (gross, I know) Anyways, hes okay and I was up to getting to know him more BUT my mother works with his EX GF and my mother basically thinks hes no good because she heard he left her, led her on and knew he couldnt marry her from day 1(different culture than him) but told her he would. So now I just dont want to get involved with sum1 my mother hates and plus Im not that into him...how can I kindly reject him?

You could just tell him. Whenever people want to go out with me I tell them that I am in no place in my life to date. Which I am truthfully not. Or you could just tell him you want to remain friends a bit longer to get to know each other. (Gives you a bit of time!) or flat out tell him no. Your not interested that way.

If you want to go on a date with him then go on a date with him. The ex-gf would have been bitter and/or jealous and could be exaggerating to make him sound worse than he is.
If you don't want to date let him know that you would rather just be friends, and you wouldn't want to ruin your relationship as coworkers.
