Call your vet. He may want to examine your dog to be sure he's ok..

You should go to your vet just to make sure because the rat could have poison in it (you may have poison traps, or it came from somewhere else and had poison there). But really, as long as he didn't eat it, he should be fine.

  • Just watch him over the next few days. Other animals do. This all the time and they live, so your dog will probably be ok.

Your dog just thought it was a pest and wanted to get rid of it...But if it consumed it, you should see the vet.
