Is it okay to feed my 8 week old puppy grilled chicken?
I was making dinner and left out a few plain pieces of chicken, I broke it up and fed imitator bits to my 8 week old healthy puppy. He loved it, so I gave him the rest of the piece and saved other for later. is this okay??

Almost all adult dog food is formulated to be perfectly acceptable to ALL LIFE STAGES, you would just have to feed the puppy much more food than an adult dog of the same size, to get all the calories it needs to grow. Read on the bag, it will tell you how to feed a puppy. Most puppy food is basically just high calorie, high protein, high fat food, sometimes they add stuff that they claim will help the puppy grow better or have a better brain or whatever, I don't know, puppies have been growing up JUST FINE until now, the additives are just buzzwords to get people to spend more money. Do you think your puppy will really grow up to be a mentally retarded dog with extremely bad eyesight JUST BECAUSE you didn't buy the food with the DHA? No. He will be fine, just MAKE SURE you feed him more, like the bag instructs, otherwise you WILL be depriving him and he may become malnurished.

Has it been over 12 hours since you gave him the chicken? Any diarrhea?
If he doesn't have an upset stomach, then the treat is okay. That's all it should be - an occasional treat.
