I just had a C-Section and it feels like theres a knot by it?

November 30th i had a C-Section with my first baby. It turned out perfectly straight and small but i noticed a hard knot-like bump slightly above my incision on the left side. Its really hard and about the size of a ping pong ball. Also its really sore and hurts more than anywhere else on my incision. I have disolvable stitches and staples i dont know if one of those would have anything to do with this, but i get the staples removed tomorrow. Id wait till then to ask my doctor but its just really bothering me. Has this happened to anyone else, is it normal?

I had a c-section andi had a knot that appeared at the end of the scar. It turned out to be scar tissue and was not a big deal. Also if your incision was made close to the bikini area there could be a hair that has become in grown. Hope all is well with you and baby.

Go to the ER immediately!!!!!!!! YES infections do spread, and as a nurse I've heard of woman dying after a c-section from infections that become septic and poison your blood. You should never ever ignore an infection. I wouldn't be surprised if they admitted you for a few days and put you on IV antibiotics. Infections, especially c-section related are no joke. It may end up getting worse by Monday, and not all infections warn you with a fever. If they ran your blood right now, I'll bet your WBC's are through the roof! (white blood count that fights infection) It never hurts to get it checked out today. Good luck to you... ~A
