Which one of the following cars is the best?

It's December with Christmas around the corner and there are many offers going around from car dealers.

I want to get a car that will last for a long time and is very sturdy. I am leaning towards a BMW, Audi, or Mercedes. I thought about a Leus but I read way too many bad reviews about them.

Here are the cars I'm currently looking at:

BMW: http://www.bmw.com/com/en/newvehicles/7series/seda...

The 7 series is pretty new and it seems like a very durable and reliable car.

Mercedes-Benz: http://www.mbusa.com/mercedes/vehicles/model?class...

Mercedes is a high quality brand and althought the body of the car isn't the best, it's a very luxurious car.

Audi: http://models.audiusa.com/s4-sedan

This new S4 model looks really nice coming from Audi. I don't see Audi on par with BMW or Mercedes but this car looks worth it.

What are your suggestions and which one would you pick and why?

Thanks for the help.

Seems like your price range moves around quite a bit going from a S4, to a mercedes of some sort, to a BMW 7 series. Those are all quite different cars. I think my personal favorites and the biggest bang for your buck out of those manufacturers are the BMW 5 series because it is sized closer to the 3 but has options closer to the 7. More bang for your buck. The S4 is not bad, infact I was looking into one of those not too long ago. The RS4 or the RS6 are also very cool cars (FYI, the RS4 and RS6 are no longer made new, but a slightly used model can be had quite easily!). A bit more expensive than the respective S models but the RS adds a lot of power and a few additonal features that I think make the cars stand out and just a little more fun to drive. Mercedes Benz, ah Mercedes. They are generally quite expensive up front and decrese in value on an exponential level. I would avoid getting one Brand new or even within 3 years new. I would get one that is 3-4 years old with low miles because then the first owner took the brunt of the decrease in price.

I would look more into the S4, a 550i and maybe a slightly used mercedes S-Class because it will have lost a large chunk of the value making it more reasonably priced!

The 7 series is anything but a reliable or durable car. Read some expert reviewed through Consumer Reports.

Mercedes is hit or miss. The E Class is nice. The CLS is better.

I would stay away from the S class (owner costs too high) and the C class (competition is better).

The S4 is probably the best of the bunch if you are buying new. It rates average in overall reliability and is one of the highest in overall owner satisfaction.

Be prepared to pay out big $$$ after the warranty is over for any of these cars.

If you are leasing, this won't be an issue.

If I have that much money to spend, I would get an Audi A7.

To me none of them will last a long time without some issue. Today's car are just too complex these day.

It depends what you are going for, I would say the Audi would be most stylish and have best resale value.
