really early college acceptance letter?

So my friend and I both applied to Duquesne University's Mylan School of Pharmacy as senior in high school for the 2+4 program. The early deadline was December 1 and I got my acceptance letter last week. It was dated December 5! That means they made the decision in only four days?! I thought for sure it would be months before I heard anything back from them seeing as it is a competitive program. My friend didn't receive anything at all yet so I'm really confused. Why did I get my acceptance so early? Was it a mistake? They sent the scholarship information, a bumper sticker, it was official, but it was really early! I feel really bad for my friend because she hasn't heard anything and is really stressing about it. Why did I get it so early and why hasn't she gotten anything yet??

Update:

Oh and we applied on the same day within an hour so I know that probably isn't a factor

your best bet is to email the university itself. Typically acceptance for early admission range from a few weeks to a month, but your case is rather quick. But if it was addressed to you, then clearly it was not a fluke or mistake. Congratulations I suppose. You shouldn't worry too much about your friend however, if her acceptance was meant to come, it will come.

It depends on the tuition. I utilized to the institution of Tennessee, & their normal determination time limit was December 1st, & they werent able to study my application except the 7th, because i needed to ship in my SAT ratings late. I bought an acceptance e-mail on Dec. 18th, so it particularly just depends on the university

Something doesn't sound right, because you received your acceptance letter before mail could have even traveled that fast.
