Being a woman, you know the answer very well; straight men and women share a common "gaze".
Why do you find the female body so attractive?. Your boyfriend has a similar brain programming.
Let's leave hypocrisy behind, women are as visual as men regarding "female beauty".

Guys are so visual they can't help drooling over a girl's legs.
It's why I can't stand wearing short skirts. It gets really annoying, and the face the men make when they're ogling makes them appear brainless.
