How to soundproof a bedroom door?

The door is solid, about a 1 inch gap between the bottom of the door and the floor maybe a 1/2 inch. Wood floor outside of the door in the hallways, and carpet in the room. A lot of noise is coming from the rest of the house because of the wood floors and I want to block that outside noise from my room. How do I do that?

Soundproofing the door is unlikely to be enough, this type of noise travels through walls, floors and ceiling too.

However you can get the same type of gaskets usually used for weatherproofing a door and install those around the door frame, and on the bottom of the door. Any decent hardware store will stock them.
