How do u vote for best answer?

To truly vote for a Best Answer on someone else's question, go to any category and look near the top of the questions list for the In Voting tab. Click it. Choose a question and read it. Pick the Best Answer for that question and vote for it by clicking.

To choose a Best Answer to your own question, go back to that question after it has been open at least an hour and before it expires in 4 days. You'll see big blue Choose as Best Answer buttons. Click one. Choose carefully, as this cannot be undone. Follow the prompts to leave a thank-you comment and a star rating. Submit your work at the bottom of the page.

Click the "in voting tab" click a question to open it, read the answers, and click on "vote as best answer button". You get one point for each answer you vote for as best answer. You can also wait one hour or until YOUR question has TWO or more answers, so the "Choose as best" answer buttons appear beside each answer to YOUR question.

Yahoo! Answers is unique in that the Asker or the Answers community can pick the best answer to a question. Think of it as something between a message board and a user-generated information repository like Wikipedia. When a question is asked, it initially remains open to receive answers for 4 days, but can be extended at any time to remain open for a total of 8 days.

If one or more answers are collected, the Asker can either pick the best answer after 1 hour or extend the open period for four additional days to allow more time for answers to be posted. If the Asker takes no action to resolve the question, the answers are automatically put to a vote by the community, along with a No Best Answer choice.

If a question doesn't receive any answers, the question expires and is deleted.

A question becomes a Resolved Question when a Best Answer is chosen. After a question becomes Resolved it stays in Yahoo! Answers and is available for searching and browsing*. The Best Answer remains open to receive comments and ratings from the community.

Because questions don't remain open for answers indefinitely, a Best Answer will represent only the “best” of those answers posted during the 8-day period as determined by the Asker or the community vote, and may not be a complete or accurate answer. All levels can pick a best answer to questions they ask and can vote for best answer on others' undecided questions.

THUMBS UP & DOWN:

Levels 2 and up can 'rate' the answers of other Y!A users. Rating = giving Thumbs Up & Down to express your opinion of other peoples' answers. No points are involved (unless a best answer has TUs, then they get 1 point for each TU up to 50) in rating, and thumbs do not determine the Best Answer selection.

TO PICK YOUR OWN BEST ANSWER:

If you go to your question one hour after you ask your question, a little 'select as best answer' button appears by each answer. Any time between then & when the question expires, click on the one you like best. Y!A then gives you 3 points back & gives the answerer 10 points.

If you miss your chance, the question goes into voting mode. You can still vote for the best answer, but you only get 1 point for your vote.

TO VOTE FOR BEST ANSWERS ON UNDECIDED QUESTIONS:

go to the category of your choice

click on the "in voting" tab

read the question & the answers

click on the 'vote for best answer' button or the 'no best answer' button

you'll earn one point per vote (no point for 'no best answer' though)

You can also go to any question you've answered that the asker didn't pick a BA for and vote for your own answer. It’s a legal way to help resolve the question(s) and to earn yourself some points (1 point for voting as well as any Best Answer points you happen to pick up).
