Why do Muslims and Jews hate eachother so much?
When they worship the same Judaic God, learn about the same people, and hail from the same lands (please no ethnocentricism, not interested in prejudice opinions)
H- We do worship the same God. The word Allah itself means God. The Quran even talks about the same characters all around, starting with Adam and Eve and so on. Solomon, Moses, Abraham, Michael, Jesus etc are all mentioned in the Quaran as well as the bible. The God of Israel was first worshipped in Judaism, then after the life of Jesus the New Testament was added and then that gave birth to Christianity.
Then the account of Muhammad (a direct descendant of Abraham) spoke of his encounter with God. Thus giving birth to a younger Abrahamic religion, Islam. Allah is just another name for God just like Mikkel is another name for Michael. I do believe i said no ethnocentricism

Perhaps they hate each other because God rejected one of their ancestors (Ishmael) and blessed the other one (Isaac). Although it isn't Israel that's trying to destroy Arabs, is it, but the other way around.

First, it is very important to understand that not all Arabs are Muslims and not all Muslims are Arabs. While the vast majority of Arabs are Muslims, there are many Arabs who are not Muslims. Secondly, it is important to remember that not all Arabs or Muslims hate the Jews and not all Jews hate Arabs and Muslims. We should be careful to avoid stating stereotypes about people. However, in addition to what is being said, if we talk in general, Arabs and Muslims do not like or trust Jews and vice versa.
If there is a biblical explanation for this animosity, we have to go back to Abraham. Jews are descendants of Abraham's son Isaac. Arabs are descendants of Abraham's son Ishmael. Ishmael was the son of a slave and Isaac was the promised son who inherited the promises made to Abraham, obviously there would be some animosity between the two boys. As a result Ishmael mocking Isaac, Sarah persuaded Abraham to send Hagar and Ishmael from home. This must have caused a feeling of contempt for the heart of Ishmael to Isaac.
Islamic religion, which the majority of Arabs are adherents, has deepened the hostility. The Quran contains contradictory instructions for Muslims regarding Jews. At some point the Quran instructs Muslims to treat Jews as brothers and at another point commands Muslims to attack Jews who refuse to convert to Islam. Quran also presents a position about the identity of the promise son of Abraham. Hebrew Scriptures say it was Isaac. The Quran claims that it was Ishmael. The debate on who is the promise son contributes to the hostility that exists today.
However, the ancient root of bitterness between Isaac and Ishmael does not explain all the hostility between Jews and Arabs today. In fact, for thousands of years in the history of the Middle East, Jews and Arabs lived in relative peace and indifference towards each other. The main cause of hostility has a modern element. After World War II and the Holocaust, when the United Nations gave part of the land of Israel to the Jews, the country at that time was inhabited mostly by Arabs (Palestinian). The majority of Arabs protested vehemently against the fact that Jews will settled the land. United Arab nations attacked Israel and tried to wipe it off the ground - but they were defeated by Israel. Since that, there is a great struggle between Israel and some Arab neighbors\nations. If you look at the map, Israel has a very small part of the land and is surrounded by huge Arab nations. Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Egypt. There is only one Jewish state in the world (Israel) and many Muslim states around the globe.
In additional, it is important to say few things. First, Israel does not want to erase other Muslim states, but many Muslim states want to erase Israel from the map. Second, it is important to repeat that not all the Arabs\Muslims hate the Jews and vice versa.

they don't "hate" one yet another. for hundreds of years, in actuality, and in numerous places, they have been given alongside particularly properly. extra cutting-edge issues stem from particular particular political and cultural subjects, yet those do not preoccupy all Muslims, Jews, and Christians. they are actually not a remember of religious conflict besides. Telling people to not hate one yet another because of the fact God isn't genuine is senseless, because for sure non secular Muslims, Jews, and Christians DO have faith he's genuine. they are able to't turn a change and supply up being non secular only because you're saying so. and various of the people who're adversarial are not quite non secular. As I mentioned, their hostility is cultural and political.

generally, Jews do not hate Muslims.
I agree with you that there is only one God.
But, seriously, Christians have waged war against CHristians for thousands of years.
Muslims are killing more Muslims today than they kill people of any other faith.
So belief in the same God has never been a basis not to kill each other.
right?

It's not so much a religious issue as it is a political one. Muslims ruled Jerusalem for around 1300 years, then the Jews eventually got it back. Jews never got over the Muslims taking it over and the Muslims never got over the Jews taking it back. It's a petty grudge, really.
@H: Yes, you do. Allah is Arabic for "God". The god you worship is the God of Abraham, that's why Islam, Christianity and Judaism are called Abrahamic Religions. It's because they all have the same deity. And if you still refuse to believe it, try reading the Qu'ran. It's the same fairytale with different wording.

We don't worship the same God. They worship Allah, we worship the God of Israel. We don't hate them, they hate us.
