    tan α = Q sin θ / ( P + Q cos θ)

    θ is the angle between the two forces and α is the angle between P and R

    α is the maximum if P = - Q cos θ and α = π/2

    For the given values of P = 5 and Q = 13

    cos θ = - 5/13

    θ = 112.62 °

    think of geometry! the resultant is the diagonal of a sq.. the two adjoining aspects are the equivalent forces. keep in mind that the element of a sq. is a million/sqrt(2) situations the diagonal! Or (0.707) x the diagonal! So the strain is (0.707) x a hundred and eighty pounds or 127.3 pounds i could savour it in case you voted this a 5 famous guy or woman answer particularly than leaving it as much as an ARBITRARY vote. once you opt for a ultimate answer you get lower back 3 factors. You get NO factors lower back in case you permit it flow to a vote.
